We are excited to begin another Foundation Year in the PAAM Clinical Mentoring Program. The first Foundation Year offering, started in 2020-2021, has been very fruitful and we're looking forward to welcoming a new cohort in 2021-22.
Through a series of ten live, online group sessions, we explore the foundations of Anthroposophic Medicine, creating a solid bridge for bringing anthroposophic concepts into your patient care. Topics include dynamic Goethean observing and thinking about nature; building threefold and fourfold physiology and anatomy; clinical approach to the patient; the basis of health and illness; and anthroposophic medicines. The other component is a 2½ day workshop offered in the late fall; this year, October 28-31, 2021, in Denver, Colorado. In the annual Clinical Mentoring Workshops we practice applying threefold and fourfold principles to history-taking, physical exam, and the development of a therapeutic plan. The workshops will include live patient interviews, hands-on practice with anthroposophic therapies, and multiple mentored small-groups sessions to work through case studies and give feedback.
While participation in the Annual Training Conferences (IPMT) is open to any and all physicians and licensed prescribers, participation in the Clinical Mentoring Program requires application, and commitment to the three-year program. The prerequisite for mentoring is having participated in one or more IPMT trainings. Participation in the Fall Clinical Mentoring Workshop will be limited to those who are in the mentoring program (Foundation year, second year or third year) in order to provide a more intimate training experience and preserve the opportunity for more direct feedback and learning.

Step Two: The faculty will review all applications and respond within two weeks.
Step Three: All those accepted into the Clinical Mentoring Program will be provided with a participant code and can then formally register for the program.
Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis throughout the spring and summer, with successful participants admitted on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications must be submitted no later than August 10th.
Full payment must be made (or a payment plan in place) by August 30th. Tuition for both the distance/online mentoring sessions, and the Clinical Mentoring Workshop (including meals) are combined. Tuition is $1550 per year.
